We live in world where many societies encourage the consumption of alcoholic beverages as a social lubricant. But alcohol, being both a hepatoxin and a neurotoxin, causes harm to the body. So I am wondering what other yogis think about this subject.
Great question! If I were to recommend some poses for surfers, I would recommend the same as what I put together for runners. When you're in that surfing position, the hip flexors are a bit shortened, so hip opening would be recommended. Stabilizing when you're surfing requires major core strength, so it might be nice to do some backbends for front body opening and stretching. And then I'd also recommend chest openers and stretches through the armpit/shoulder area.
