Hyperextended Shoulders & Yoga

I've gotten fairly regular in my practice, practicing everyday, but I've been noticing my right shoulder are beginning to hurt. Last year, I had tendonitis and bursitis in them and I have slight hypermobility in the right shoulder; I can bring my right arm all the way down in my back past shoulder blades in cow face pose (I'm sure you're not supposed to do that.) It's a problem as last year I got a steroid shot in my left shoulder which, effectively, kind of solved the issue in my left shoulder. I'd rather not get a shot in my right shoulder.

Ideas?
