October 14, 2017 - Deep Core Strength: A YBC Workshop in Short Hills, NJ


Deep Core Strength begins with a centering and guided breathing practice. From there, we will begin with gentle stretches to awaken the body, and slowly move into a core sequence to ignite the core. From there, we will do a vinyasa flow heavily rooted in core strengthening, before moving into various core exercises to build strength for arm balances like crow, side crow, headstand, forearm stand, and handstand. Finally, we will cool down with gentle, passive stretches, before coming into a guided relaxation. You can expect to walk away from the class feeling:

  • rejuvenated by the relaxation techniques
  • empowered by your own inherent strengths
  • knowledgeable about how to continue to develop your core strength
  • inspired to strengthen the areas in your life off the mat that need a little attention

Where and When: October 14, 2017, 11:30am - 1:30pm. The class will be held at YB Fitness 750 Morris Turnpike, Short Hills, NJ 07078. Please arrive at least ten minutes early to fill out their liability waiver. Call them at (973) 218-9100 with any logistical questions. There is ample parking, a fully stocked locker rooms, and  sauna available for use, as well. 

*Please note: This workshop is open to people of all levels who have practiced yoga at least five times. Due to the acrobatic nature of the class, it is not safe for pregnant women.
