Hi everyone!

Have you seen any documentaries that you really liked lately? The last one I watched was Dear Zachary (you can watch it on Netflix) and could use some recommendations.

Hi everyone!

Have you seen any documentaries that you really liked lately? The last one I watched was Dear Zachary (you can watch it on Netflix) and could use some recommendations.

I will check out Dear Zachary! I haven't seen many recently, but here are some that I saw and really liked:

Fame High - follows high school students in an LA talent school

The September Issue - the making of a Vogue September issue

Jiro Dreams of Sushi - follows the best sushi chef in Japan

Brooklyn Castle - follows members of a chess team at an inner city high school

Suicide Tourist - explores the right to choose to die with dignity

First position - a ballet documentary

Girl Model - a documentary on modeling

Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead - a documentary on juicing

I really like Jiro dreams of sushi too. All the hard work into one tiny sushi makes me appreciate the cuisine a lot more. :)

I agree that was a good doc. It is a very simple and not exciting topic, but the movie was well made.

Gideon's Army is a must-watch. It focuses on the plight of public defenders, and how low-income offenders end up clogging prisons just because they cannot afford to accept deals or pay for more adequate defense.

I also recently saw David Wants To Fly- an inside look at the org behind Trancendental Meditation.

Both have been added to my to-watch list. Thanks for your recommendations! =)

I love to watch documentaries! I usually go to history or true crime type stuff.

True crime documentarties are my weakness! I think you'd really like Talhotblond. It's on Netflix!
