Standing Leg Lift....strap Or Bent Knee?

When doing standing leg lift

which would be better... to use a strap and hold the leg straight...or hold the toe and have a slight...LOL!!...okay, a pretty good sized, bend (~30 degrees) in the knee?

Use the strap, I'd say. Just be sure that you're really using it properly- I actually demo that pose here, but if your strap doesn't have a good buckle thing on the end, just make sure both ends are even and then grab hold as close as you can to the foot, making sure that you're standing up tall.
