Forearm Stand/pincha Mayurasana

Hi Candace! I am starting to work on the forearm stand, I don´t feel any pain but the position feels very awkward and uncomfortable, I found this pose way harder than the headstand, is that normal? What poses would you recommend to help ease into it?

Totally normal, especially depending on how you hold your hands (are they flat to the ground or in prayer position?) Practice dolphin pose (basically downward dog on your forearms), forearm planks, warrior 2, and supported headstand. Lots of core work as well.
