Wrist Pain

4 posts in this topic

When I go into downward dog I experience pain in my wrists and I am unable to flatten my palms on the mat without experiencing pain. What should I be doing differently...?

If you have one available, look at yourself in a mirror or improvise using some other reflective surface - i.e. a exterior window at night. That was very revealing for what I was doing wrong. Also bend your knees and don't worry about getting the heels down. Doing what is shown in the following article 'labled as wrong', will put a great deal of your weight on the whrists which could cause pain in them. http://yogabycandace.com/blog/yoga-for-men-down-dog-yoga-crow-review You may find something of relevance here:
