i would love to...if I only had the time...

5 posts in this topic

I posted this on my Facebook wall (I know different nations treat daylight savings differently)

For anyone that says "I would love to ____ (fill in the blank) but I just don't have the time"...

...well now you do!

Tomorrow, November 1, daylight savings time ends. When everyone adjusts the clocks...change all your clocks...BUT set your alarm clock ONE HOUR EARLIER.

If you're used to waking up at six, starting tomorrow you will wake up at five. It won't be difficult as your body is already used to waking up at that time...no adjustment is needed.

Now you have ONE FREE HOUR...do what YOU want to do.

Jump on the treadmill, do yoga, bake a cake, read a book or newspaper...do whatever YOU want (just don't waste it "catching up on Facebook or Instagram")

This is a free hour, it doesn't exist...you have no obligations, everyone else is on a different schedule.

Spend YOUR hour doing something that benefits you...and only you.

Then, after the free hour is up, start your day as normal and join the rest of society and fulfill your obligations.

Think about it...the rest of the day is set by obligations to others...you now have an extra hour in your day to do something for YOU!

Enjoy it!

Namaste

Why not this year?

Here's tip #2 (for those that missed "leap hour"...hey, it's my idea, so I get to name the hour...LOL).

Starting tomorrow morning, set your alarm clock twelve minutes early, not a big deal, pretty easy to do. Do that each day of the week and by Friday, your body will re-accustom to the new time. Next week you have a gift of an hour...use it wisely!

I love my alone time in the mornings, over the past few months I 'trained' myself to get up at 5.30 instead of 6.30. Unfortunately, it still isn't enough time to get everything I want to in a day!

G'morning! It's 4:30 here. I've already finished reading the paper, checked a few websites, dressed, ready to head to office so I can take care of a few early morning items and then head over to the fitness center so I can get there when the doors unlock at 6.
