Using a wall for splits

3 posts in this topic

When using a wall for splits are there modifications for people who have tight hips? I was looking ahead on the 31 day program and see that in a day or so we will need to use a wall for splits.  The leg that is up in the air is bent.  I can't get it anywhere close to straight so I'm wondering if I should even use the wall or if there is a modification for this.  Thanks in advance!

Hey there! I'd like to see what yours looks like because even if it's bent that's totally fine. So long as you're not in pain and instead are just feeling tension from super tight hips, you're still working the flexibility. You can back off a bit by coming away from the wall a little bit with the bottom leg if you need to, but otherwise it sounds like you're doing just fine?
